Commercial heating and ventilation specialists Lord Combustion Services have pledged to fundraise for their local air ambulance as they mark their 40th anniversary year.
Oldbury-based Lord Combustion Services will be raising money this autumn for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, which covers Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, the West Midlands and Worcestershire.
Lord pledged their support as part of Air Ambulance Week 2022, held until Sunday 11 September to celebrate the importance of the 21 air ambulance charities working across the UK. Midlands Air Ambulance Charity attends on average 12 missions each day across its region.
Managing Director Stuart Smith said: “As we celebrate 40 years of success by the Lord team, we are pleased to confirm we will be raising funds this autumn as corporate partners of Midlands Air Ambulance Charity.
“We have a proud history of supporting this amazing cause, having raised enough money in 2019 to fund three missions, so we have plans for fundraising activities to take place again later in the year.

“As a business covering the West Midlands, we understand that anyone, anywhere across the six counties that Midlands Air Ambulance Charity operates in could be in vital need of enhanced clinical intervention at any time. We would recommend others get behind this great charity which makes such a positive difference each year.”
Having originally opened in 1982, Lord implement energy efficient solutions across the West Midlands including installation contracts for the likes of Edgbaston Stadium in Birmingham. With a team of 45 engineers and support staff, Lord support more than 1000 sites across the Midlands, including 300 schools and hundreds of health sites.
After winning three awards last November, Lord are up for the Black Country Chamber of Commerce awards for Excellence in Manufacturing and Engineering and Family Business of the Year, with Managing Director Stuart Smith up for Business Person of the year, to be announced next week.
