Lord Combustion Services Limited are a long-established, highly respected mechanical service and maintenance company based in Oldbury, in the West Midlands, who are looking for experienced Commercial Gas Engineers.

We’re offering a stable and well-paid role with minimal travel across the local West Midlands region, structured overtime, excellent earning potential, working with an experienced team and a strong support structure.

About the Commercial Gas Engineer Role:

Although you’ll spend the majority of your time working on customer sites, there will be occasions where you’ll attend the company’s Head Office in Oldbury for training, team meetings and company updates.

This is a regional role, with no long-distance national travel, offering a better work-life balance while still working on varied and interesting projects.

You’ll be working across a range of commercial sites within the Healthcare, Educational, Sports & Corporate sectors, carrying out:

Service, maintenance and repair of commercial gas boilers and associated systems

9

Fault-finding and diagnostics (with a focus on first-time fixes)

9

Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and gas safety checks

9

Breakdown response and reactive maintenance (including call-out rota)

9

Commissioning (installation team support and manufacturers)

9

Call-out rota – approximately 4-5 weeks per annum (1 in 12)

What we’re looking for:

9

Valid Commercial Gas qualifications (essential)

9

Proven experience with commercial boilers and associated systems

9

Strong fault-finding and diagnostic ability

9

Basic knowledge of controls/electrics (advantageous)

9

Full UK driving licence (max. 6 points)

9

Ability to manage your own workload and work autonomously

9

A reliable, proactive and professional approach

9

Ability to complete clear industry certificates and job reports

Company vehicle – available for personal use (Hybrid Estate Car option upon completion of probation)

Monthly attendance bonus

On-call standby payments and premium call-out rates

Overtime paid at enhanced rates (time and a half / double time)

Working hours :

Monday – Thursday: 8:00am – 4:30pm
Friday: 8:00am – 4:00pm
39.5 hours per week.

Call-out rota :

Approximately 4 weeks per annum (1 in 12), comprising standby retainer and double time door-to-door.
